Grand Opening of Laska Hotel & Resort Ciletuh on 9 July 2024: A New Era for Ciletuh’s Tourism.

On 9 July 2024, Laska Hotel & Resort Ciletuh proudly opened its doors, marking a significant milestone as the first 3-star hotel in the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu Geopark area. Managed by Laska Hotel Management and overseen by PT Mitra Digital Sejahtera (MDS), this new establishment is situated in the picturesque village of Girimukti, Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency.

 

The choice of location for this hotel was inspired by the area’s breathtaking sunsets and well-preserved local heritage. Laska Hotel & Resort Ciletuh is not just a place to stay; it represents an investment in the local community, aiming to bring positive impacts to the tourism sector and to stimulate economic growth in the region.

 

Speaking at the grand opening, Mr Didin Nurhadi, the head of Grha Prima Sejahtera, expressed his enthusiasm: “Under the management of Laska Hotel Management, we officially inaugurate Laska Hotel & Resort Ciletuh today. We chose to invest here because the sunsets in Ciletuh are unrivalled, rivalling those of other well-known destinations. Additionally, the location within the Geopark, which has been awarded a UNESCO certificate, further enhances its appeal. Although this area is not yet widely recognised, we are confident that we can contribute to its tourism growth.”

 

Located at Jl. Geopark Pelabuhan Ratu, Girimukti, Ciletuh, Laska Hotel & Resort Ciletuh boasts 60 rooms, each offering stunning views of the South Sea. The hotel is equipped with a range of modern amenities, including four meeting rooms, a ballroom, a children’s area, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and a gymnasium.

 

During the opening ceremony, the Regent of Sukabumi, Mr Marwan, praised the hotel’s alignment with the Geopark’s values: “Laska Hotel & Resort Ciletuh is perfectly in tune with the Geopark Ciletuh Palabuhanratu, symbolising the area’s natural beauty. The presence of Laska here should inspire others to invest in this region. For those who want to enjoy nature, this is the place to be. Perhaps in the future, we can offer hunting or fishing packages. I am particularly pleased that 50 percent of the staff at Laska Hotel & Resort Ciletuh are local residents.”
